Samsung Galaxy S8: Most Anticipated Addition to Galaxy Family; Flag-bearer of Samsung’s New Display Standard

By

The next-generation Samsung smartphone is almost here and everyone is excited to have a whole new experience. As the most anticipated addition to Galaxy family, Galaxy S8 is reportedly making a difference through new features and specs.

During the early months of 2016, loyal fans of Samsung Galaxy lineup already anticipated the birth of another flagship smartphone which they already named as Galaxy S8. Speculations about the phone continue until the last quarter of the year where verified reports confirmed the existence of the said handset.

Last February, Samsung has released a one-minute video featuring the Galaxy S8 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. According to Forbes, the handset has never made it to the news headline which means there is nothing special about it.

However, just barely a month before its presumed release date on April 28, reports about the interesting Galaxy S8's features started to surface the internet and one of them suggests about the bezel-less screen which makes the difference.

Accordingly, Samsung has managed to package Galaxy S8 in a 5.8-inch screen display which makes it look taller than the iPhone 7 and slimmer than LG G6. The smartphone's dual-curved display has also made it proclaim as the best-designed and the most comfortable to hold surpassing the Galaxy Note 7.

Furthermore, Galaxy S8 will be one of the largest Samsung phones to date next to Galaxy S8 Plus with 6.2-inch screen display and both phones will feature OLED displays. According to Fox News, curved edge is likely to be the next standard of display for Samsung's next-generation smartphones.

Samsung is reportedly having a major launching day for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in New York on March 29 and the first batch of handsets will go on sale in April 21 in some countries like US and South Korea. Samsung still refuse to divulge the price of the handset.
