Bethesda Attacking Multiple Fronts, 'Fallout 4' VR To Make Bethesda Even Bigger

Bethesda has been known in the gaming circle for being silent when it comes to upcoming projects. But today, Bethesda is making a bold move, game director Todd Howard has finally revealed to the world that the game studio has currently 7 projects in the works. Howard made the big announcement this week.

Bethesda Is Working On Various Projects

In a recent interview with the gaming site IGN, director Howard said that all of the Bethesda projects are now in the various stages of game development. The seven projects include the widely popular Skyrim for Nintendo Switch, an upcoming new mobile game and the "Fallout 4" VR version.

According to SegmentNext, the new mobile game will be a follow-up entry to the first released mobile game "Fallout Shelter."Bethesda is said to be working also with game developer MachineGames in the next chapter of the critically acclaimed "Wolfenstein" franchise. The title was teased earlier month, with Bethesda's marketing executive Pete Hines making a huge remark about the title.

Additionally, gamers can also look forward to the company's upcoming horror action title, "Prey," which is scheduled for release this coming May 5, just in time for the AMD Vega official launch. Bethesda's first-person shooter "Prey" made a big headline recently after being teased along with the upcoming AMD Vega GPU earlier this week, Wccftech reported.

In addition to the titles, Bethesda's Todd Howard also discussed more the challenges the team has to face porting a game designed as a first-person-shooter (FPS) to a virtual reality (VR) environment. Howard also added that the game works and feels very good due to the V.A.T.S and Pip-Boy systems.

Bethesda is expected to get a big presence at this year's E3 event, which is set to take place on Sunday, June 11, just the same day with Microsoft's big press conference.

Fallout 4 VR To Bring Even More To Bethesda

In other Bethesda-related news, Bethesda's director and executive producer Todd Howard has just confirmed in a new interview with Glixel that the upcoming "Fallout 4" VR title will indeed comprise of the entire "Fallout 4" game and HTC Vive owners will be going to love this big development.

Bethesda's post-apocalyptic role-playing game has made a huge success in the gaming market, becoming the most successful game in the company's history. Now, Bethesda is investing a significant amount of resources in the VR technology.

Bethesda believes that the fast-emerging VR tech would be the next big thing in the gaming industry, and doesn't want to miss a great opportunity here. And with the VR version of the "Fallout 4" just around the corner, Bethesda might expect an even much bigger crowd for the Fallout franchise and for the whole company.
