‘Injustice 2’: Mobile Game Version Reveals All Game Characters, Soft-Launch In The Philippines Confirmed

By

A recent Tweet from "Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon, confirmed that "Injustice 2" is coming to mobile devices.

It follows the path of the previous game in the series, "Injustice: God's Among Us" which came with both iOS and Android versions allowing players to compete by employing a touch-based fighting system, Gamespot reported.

According to Touch Arcade, a full-blown free-to-play version of the mobile app "Injustice 2" had a soft-launch in the Philippines App Store and is available now. It reportedly includes a highly upgraded version of its swipe-based mechanics.

The Early Access mobile version of "Injustice 2" features 11 playable characters listed as follows: Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Cyborg, The Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Superman, Scarecrow, Batman, Catwoman, Green Lantern and Deadshot. However, each character listed has an alternate version supporting a different skin for the character and added abilities, making for 22 playable characters in total.

The report indicated that the player could use taps to perform basic combos and do swipes to perform lunging attacks. A new attack feature found is throwing projectiles by performing a swipe back+tap.

Swiping up on the device does a jumping attack. Alternatively, swiping down on the device does a crouching attack. Accordingly, the mechanics of "Injustice 2" mobile app were so tight and fluid that makes for an extremely satisfying play and a deeper strategic.

The mobile version of "Injustice 2" Philippines does not feature Cheetah, Poison Ivy and Black Canary who are expected to make their appearance in the console edition. It is not clear if the three characters will be part of the roster of the final mobile version, as what is expected in the console version.

While there is no official date of release for the mobile version of "Injustice 2," its console version for the PS4 and Xbox One is due for release on May 16, 2017. Check the video below to see "Injustice 2" mobile in action.
