High school football players from around the country have put their athletic skills on the line during the 2017 National Signing Day college football recruitment round. There are winners and losers from different states but a lot of them have made life changing decisions on Wednesday.

The question as to who made it to the top and the bottom for this year's line up was answered.

CBS Sports covered the whole day event and saw the commitments of high school football players everywhere in order to view the eventful signing of the National Letter of Intent that follows after.

Now the programs have included five and four star finalists, and more. According to CBS Sports, there are a few notable announcements. As USA Today has it, there are winners and losers during the whole day.

In Southern California, University of Southern California's recruiting efforts were strong with the addition of two five-star line men and four-strar tight end. In Georgia, the Bulldogs welcomed a class that is reportedly the best in ranks among the best. In Alabama and Ohio State, they pulled in seven players who ranked in the top 40 around the country. In Miami, Florida, the Hurricane's class packed in another 20 plus players.

Unfortunately, Mississippi is in the bottom three. Although the Rebels ranked inside the top 40 list, they did not make the top 10. David Brandt comments that this class is described to be a penalty from a previous mishap and it carried over to the Wednesday recruiting day.

Some schools were not as dramatic during signing day. According to reports, a lot of them waited outside in anticipation but the recruitment day is done and the college football 2017 National Signing Day is over. But this is not the only highlight for the college football season. The actual games have not yet begun.
