Xbox Update: Xbox Head Phil Spencer Talks More Xbox Cross-Play Games, Updates Xbox Project Scorpio [VIDEO]

By

Microsoft has launched earlier this week a cross-play multiplayer support for the third-person shooter game, "Gears of War 4," which allows Xbox One gamers to play against other gamers on PC. Now, Phil Spencer has his hopes up for more games that will support the cross-platform in the future.

When the Xbox boss was asked by a gaming fan through Twitter if more titles will support the cross-play, Spencer stated that he hope so, as it is their goal. Spencer also said that the cross-play is a good feature. Nevertheless, the upcoming real-time strategy video game "Halo Wars 2" does not support the cross-play feature, according to Dual Shockers.

Also, the Xbox head Spencer was asked about Microsoft's upcoming gaming system, the Xbox Project Scorpio console. Specifically, a gaming fan wanted to know when the Xbox Project Scorpio would be up for grabs to pre-order. Spencer stated that game enthusiasts may have to wait until they witness games running for it.

Nevertheless, it is still somehow ambiguous whether the VR feature will come along with Xbox Project Scorpio during its launch. In spite of that, the statement of Microsoft's rep does assert that the mega-powerful system will be available with a high-fidelity VR as soon as it launches in the market.

Meanwhile, there has been a few leaks mounted up on the internet regarding the Xbox Project Scorpio. A game aficionado even asked if the gaming system would be capable of running video games at a native 4K resolution. In spite of that, Microsoft's Xbox boss clarified all of the confusion that currently surrounds the resolution capabilities of the upcoming Xbox Project Scorpio, Tech Radar reported.

In addition, Spencer claimed that the Xbox One Elite controller will work on Microsoft's upcoming gaming system. Xbox Project Scorpio goes on sale this coming 2017 holidays, though the price and the release date of the console have not been confirmed yet.
