iPad Pro 2 Update: Will The High-End Model Say Goodbye to iPad Mini? Check Out Facts, Figures, and Features!

By

Apple is expected to launch iPad Pro 2 in the near future. The tablet could be a high-end device that's powerful and bezel-free.

Here's the latest news and update on Apple's upcoming powerful tablet!

iPad Pro 2 variants and the Math theory

A brilliant calculation done by Dan Provost of Studio Neat has concluded that Apple's plan to unveil the new iPad Pro 10.5-inch variant might make sense at all. In his blog, the designer explained a solid theory why the second-gen Pro tablet will have the said size. According to Provost, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will match iPad Mini's height whereas the resolution will be the same as in the 12.9-inch model.

Going further with the detail, he mentions that the upcoming tablet iteration will have the same pixel density as in the iPad Mini. In his blog, the studio's co-founder admits to use the Pyhtagorean Theorem in revealing the 10.47-inch screen size.

This calculation corroborates the reports from MacOtakara that has claimed the size of iPad Pro 2 will be between 10.1 inches and 10.9 inches.

iPad Pro 2 could sport edge-to-edge display

The bezel-free iPad Pro 2 rumors have been around for awhile. Mashable's November post reported that Apple could stretch the iPad Pro screen and remove the physical home button. In addition to the all-new screen, the tablet is said to have TrueTone display for improved visual experience and quad microphones for enhanced audio quality.

Apple might kill of the iPad Mini

KGI Security analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has stated previously that Apple might no longer boost iPad Mini sales this year, MacRumors reported. With that being the case, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 might just be the new tablet that will replace the iPad Mini variant. Another possibility is that Apple will not be updating the iPad Mini 4 as the company focuses on the iPad Mini Pro.

iPad Pro 2's March release date

The tablet refreshes may come as soon as March 2017 according to several reports whilst the OLED-display iPad will likely happen in 2018.
