Nintendo Switch will get two new games from Square Enix in "Dragon Quest Heroes I - II." The two games, developed by Koei-Tecmo are scheduled for release when the new hybrid gaming console launches in Japan on Mar. 3, 2017.

Two videos were released and were presented by the joined forces of Koei-Tecmo to highlight the first gameplay of "Dragon Quest Heroes I - II" for the Nintendo Switch. The first video shows a special move of Ragnar McRyan from "Dragon Quest IV" who will come exclusively with the Nintendo Switch version.

The second Video gives the viewer a glimpse on a new feature designed for the Switch. It features the new boss battle against Malroth (Sydow) from "Dragon Quest II." The battle did not end well in the video below which was fought in local multiplayer mode, Dual Shockers reported.

"Dragon Quest Heroes I" is a spin-off series of the original "Dragon Quest," apparently one of the most revered RPG franchises in Japan. The version reunites characters from different iterations of the main game series and has them fight. "Dragon Quest Heroes II," expands the game's concept bringing it closer to an action-RPG adventure.

"Dragon Quest Heroes" is already out and available for the PS4, the sequel, "Dragon Quest Heroes II" which was released last year in Japan, will be launched in Apr. 25 for North America Apr. 28 in Europe. Moreover, "Dragon Quest X" and "Dragon Quest XI" are currently in development for the Nintendo Switch, although Square Enix gave no details about their release.

In related news, last December, "Dragon Quest Heroes II" and "Dragon Quest Builders" garnered Gold Prizes at the annual PlayStation Awards. The win was the result of both games selling over 500,000 units each in Japan and Asia, according to Nova Crystallis. Sony gives the PlayStation Awards annually for games that have PlayStation versions or are exclusives that have set sales that merit a specific tier of the said awards program.
