Xiaomi Mi 6 Reportedly Axed Valentine's Release Date; Delay Confirms Snapdragon 835 SoC Feature
Xiaomi's successor to its marquee phone Mi 5 is facing difficulty in finding its launch date. Xiaomi Mi 6 is set to launch in China on Valentine's Day but has been reportedly pushed back due to low production of its key feature - the Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Release Date
An analyst from iSuppli claimed that the Mi 6 will be the first Chinese phone to arrive with new SoC, Indian Express reported. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has not confirmed the arrival of Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 SoC to the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6.
If this news turns out to be true, the low production rate of the Snapdragon 835 SoC will hardly affect the Mi 6's February timeline which could push the release date in late March or early April. Other reports claim that Mi 6 may be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 together with a mid-range phone Xiaomi Mi S.
Xiaomi Mi 6 Specs

The phone will have a 16 + 16 MP dual-rear camera along with a 7MP front snapper. The phone will host a 4GB of RAM with 128GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will host a USB Type-C port and 3000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0, XiamiMi6.Org wrote.
Xiaomi Mi 6 leaked photos also show that the phone will sport a home button with a fingerprint scanner at the bottom part of the device. The camera will be positioned on the top left side of the back portion of the device along with a single dual-LED flash, Indian Express added.
