CONFIRMED: Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 EDGE Will Get Android 7.0 Nougat Update After Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 EDGE! [VIDEO]

Owners of the premium handsets Samsung Galaxy S Series do not need to wait any longer, as the South Korean tech company has reportedly started building Android 7.0 Nougat firmware for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 EDGE after the firmware's rollout to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE. Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 EDGE

It seems like Samsung will bring the Nougat update to its premium Galaxy Series handsets based on the leaked firmware build number XXS5DPK7 for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 EDGE. According to XDA Developers Forum, owners must not expect to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update before 2017 because it might take few months for Samsung to finalized the works.  

Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE

Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE have received the Nougat update last November 9 in China, Korea, UK and United States. The downloading of the Android's latest beta program will run from November until mid-December.

Alongside the rolling out of Nougat firmware, users have noticed two major changes in their Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 EDGE handsets. According to Gotta Be Mobile, there are changes reported on the user interface color scheme and camera interface.

Android 7.0 Nougat Update for Other Samsung Galaxy Handsets and Tablets

There is still no information regarding the Nougat firmware update on other Galaxy handsets and tablets but as noted by Gotta Be Mobile, Samsung is getting closer to releasing the software update knowing the fact that Samsung handsets are being the first on the line to receive such updates even before. For the meantime, the following handsets are eligible for the Nougat firmware update: Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 EDGE, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 EDGE, Galaxy S6 EDGE Plus and Galaxy Note 5.  

On the other hand, Samsung has been reportedly preparing for the Android 7.1 Nougat firmware for their 2017 flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 EDGE, Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Note 8 EDGE.
