Much to the dismay of gadget freaks, Apple remained tight lipped about the highly anticipated iPad Air 3 during the recently concluded iPhone 7 launch event. Apparently, that didn't stop some optimistic fans from hazarding a guess that Apple will release the phablet in March 2017.

There's hearsay that Apple is gearing up to revive its tablet line and come up with more mobile devices options for its customers. Rumor mills have been swirling speculations around the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Pro 2 indicating that the devices will be released by early 2017. If rumors proved to be true, the iPad Air 3 will hit the store shelves around the same time.

The iPad Air 3 is said to have earmarks of the recently released iPhone 7 as it will be powered by an A10 chip processor too. Moreover, the device is expected to sport the same thickness as its precursor, the iPad Air 2, which is at 6.1mm. Moreover, it will pack a smaller, but comparatively robust battery this time.

The purported iPad Air 3 is said to come with more variety of colors including Rose Gold, the usual white, and a Black variant.

Furthermore, the device will feature a 9.7-inch screen, and come equipped with fingerprint scanner for added security measure, an enhanced Bluetooth app, 4GB of RAM, and will come under variants of a 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage. It will sport a 12MP primary camera.

The Cupertino based tech firm plans to debut a better option for their tablets as far as pricing is concerned, and this is quite understandable considering they need to kickstart their tablet sales which seem to be drying up over the past few years.

Although, it hasn't been officially confirmed, a report by Reporter Times indicated that the device will publicized as an economical gadget within the range of £300 (about $382) to £400 (about $510). It would be retailed around £400 (about $510) provided it is released this year. If it is released in 2017, the price is expected to be reduced.

Three New Apple Tablets Kicking Off Next Year?

If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, there will be three iPad Mini Pro variants coming. This includes the purported 7.9-inch iPad Pro Mini, a 10.1-inch variant and a mammoth 12.9-inch version, according to reports on Mac Otakara.

Apple has remained tight lipped and have neither denied nor confirmed these rumors. Readers are advised to take this unsubstantiated information with a grain of salt.
