‘Heroes Of The Storm’ News & Update: Blizzard To Overhaul The Video Game Series ‘Heroes Of The Storm’ In 2017

By

Blizzard pitch in some big news with their recent announcement that their multiplayer online battle arena video game "Heroes of the Storm" is getting an overhaul for 2017.

The update of Heroes Global Championship program isn't just a revamp, the video game company is going to be managing this league in-house, and because of that, video gamers have a lot to look forward to.

Sam Braithwaite, "Heroes of the Storm" Product Manager, recently appeared on the video game company's "Beyond the Nexus" video show to discuss the set of reasons behind some of the changes of the video game going into 2017.

Braithwaite suggests that "Heroes of the Storm" was hard to follow for fans, and Braithwaite believes that Heroes game has more stories to tell, according to Bleacher Report.

However, Europe, China as well as Korea and North America will each have a regional specific league next year, with teams participating in regular competition on a consistent schedule along with top quality broadcasts.

The top eight teams from each region will have a playoff in the league, with all Heroes players being contracted, ensuring the gamers will be able to compete as full time professionals, based on the report of MCV.

The teams which are outside of the main regions will be eligible for three international events in 2017, in which it will feature the top teams from each league and qualifiers from Taiwan, Latin America, South East Asia, and Australia or New Zealand.

The final piece the video game company has given video gamers is a promotion and relegation system. Alongside with the season of the top "Heroes of the Storm" groups, amateur teams will have a matchup weekly. This event will happen twice a year, Techaeris reported.

More information on the new "Heroes of the Storm" structure will fire up at the video game convention Blizzcon in early November, shortly after which the qualifiers for the new leagues kicks off.
