Apple iOS 10 Jailbroken by A Hacker Goes Viral; Countdown Begins for Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak Release?

Close

Apple just unveiled iPhone 7 on September 7. However, a few days before the event, there was a hacker posting a video on YouTube, demonstrating iOS 10 jailbreak.

iOS 10 jailbreak: iOS 10 beta 8 is already cracked

The video that lasts for 44 seconds demonstrates iOS 10 beta 8 jailbreak for 64 bit device. Luca Todesco, under his account name Qwertyoruiop published the iOS 10 jailbreak on September 5. The odds for him to release the tool to public are slim.

In the video, the iOS 10 jailbreak is called yaluX. Value Walk reported that it is working on Apple device with A7 processor. The method uses semi-unthetered procedure - which you will find it similar to iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak Pangu.

Todesco might just want to prove that iOS 10 can be jailbroken given Apple's kernel security feature. This is not the first iOS 10 jailbreak being demoed. A few months ago, hacker team Pangu has managed to find the security issue on iOS 10 at MOSEC. It was a surprising presentation since it was only weeks away from the new OS release.

Does this mean we are getting closer to iOS 10 jailbreak release?

With the security issue that Pangu has demoed, and the iOS 10 beta 8 being jailbroken recently - this could mean that there is still plenty of possibilities for the hackers to jailbreak Apple newest OS.

Previously, Pangu's iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool has experienced a few glitches and some reports regarding account breach after the software was being download, UH News wrote. Many people have assumed that Pangu will no longer be working for another iOS 9.3 jailbreak update and move to iOS 10 instead.

Should we wait for Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak instead?

Pangu team has never disappointed iDevice users who eagerly wait for every jailbreak update. The previous jailbreak tools came a few weeks after Apple released a major iOS upgrade. This could mean that the Chinese hacker might wait for the public release of iOS 10 before perfecting their jailbreaking tool for the public to download.

Meanwhile, here's the video of iOS 10 jailbreak yaluX by Luca Todesco.
