'Criminal Minds' Cast, Spoilers, And Release Date: Paget Brewster Is Now A Series Regular and More!

Formerly, Paget Brewster was only a guest star in the "Criminal Minds" Season 12. After the exit of a few characters, Paget Brewster is now a series regular. Brewster played the role of the fan-favorite character, Emily Prentiss.

A statement released by the  TV series' executive producer, Erica Messer, says that the family is excited to have Paget as a full time actress. In the Season 12 of the series, Paget will be back to playing her role as SSA Emily Prentiss. The promotion followed after Thomas Gibson was fired out from te series due to a series of on-set altercations, Variety reported.

After the loss of Thomas Gibson's Aaron Hotchner, the "Criminal Minds" series will have new regulars for its Season 12. Aisha Tyler and Adam Rodriguez also have been added to the family as series regulars. Thomas Gibson, however, will still be around a couple of episodes.

Kirsten Vangsness, who played the role of Penelope Garcia said that the new Season will need more able hands on deck after the last season's events. She added that Brewster will be assisting in capturing the villains that have escaped in the previous season. Additionally, Vangsness talked about the exit of  Thomas Gibson and said that they are still figuring it out, according to Parade.

Meanwhile, TV Fanatic released photos from the Episode One of the "Criminal Minds" called "Crimson King". The title itself could be the name of one of the fugitives who escaped from the previous season.

One picture shows Luke and Hotch talking. Another shows Hotchner talking on the phone with pins on the background. A third photo shows the team listening to Rossi while a fouthr one shows the team from before which will be changed in the near future. There are more photos showing individual characters such as Tara, Luke Alvez,  and Rossi. The series will be back on CBS on September 28.
