By

Although the release details of the upcominge Apple and Windows devices are not yet confirmed, specultaions and leaked details says that Microsoft Surface Book has an edge over Apple's MacBook Pro 2016.

The thing of beauty that captures the eyes of the consumers will be one of the Surface Book's advantage. Unlike the first Surface Book, this new device wil have a sexier design. The hinge will be re-engineered, plus, the new design will make it lighter and trimmer.

Another advantage of the Surface Book 2 over the MacBook Pro 2016 is the removable display. Microsoft's upcoming device is a 2-in-1 hybrid that could be used as a traditional laptop as well as a standalone tablet device. Apple's MacBook Pro, on the other hand, will have no chance of having a removable display that will allow owners to use it like an iPad, Yibada reported.

The Surface Pen feature of the Surface Book  is sure thing which means there will be another advantage for those who constantle use stylus. On the other hand, the MacBook Pro 2016's stylus is still a rumor. It is also worth noting that the closest that Apple gets into stylus functionality is the iPad Pro which has built in functionalities to support a stylus. Even then, the iPad stylus is available for separate purchase.

The Surface Book 2 will also run on the seventh-generation chip, Kaby Lake. Microsoft computers will now run on Kaby Lake and it includes all deviced in the Surface desktop series plus the Surface Book 2 and surface Book 5, BGR reported.

Although there are rumors that the MacBook Pro will have the Kaby Lake under its hood the chances of it happening is not very good. And if the company pushes to run the device on the Kaby Lake chip, the release would be delayed up until 2017.

Another feature that the Surface Book 2 boasts is its portable gaming capability. The device is capable of 3D and 4K displays. Even though the MacBook Pro 2016 will have the AMD Polaris 11 GPU, it will only be on the 15-inch models.
