Just three months ahead of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" much-awaited official release, it looks like avid fans of the highly-anticipated role-playing game are in for a big treat as a few first-generation Pokemon are reportedly being re-introduced as monsters dwelling in the Alola region, but some of them are likely to appear different from their original forms.

Quite a few regular Pokemom were transformed into their Alolan forms that are completely different from the regular counterparts. For instance; on the previous Pokemon franchise, the normal Sandshrew is a ground-type Pokemon, but its Alolan version is an ice/steel-type, besides, its spike resemble ice glaciers. Plus, the fire-type Vulpix also transforms into an an ice-type in Alola, as shown in the Pokemon official website.

A slew of other regular Pokemon including Raichu (electric/psychic), Marowak (fire/ghost), Meowth (dark), Sandslash (ice/steel), Ninetales (ice/fairy), and Exeggutor (grass/dragon) boast different Alolan forms.

In addition to the aforementioned monsters, Pinsir, Spearow, Gyarados, Zubat, and Dragonite are also displayed on the Japanese website of "Pokemon Sun and Moon." The five characters are part of both "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Go," but some of them will not have their Alolan forms in either one of the two games.

As recently confirmed on the Japanese website of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," Psyduck, Arcanine and Lapras are also slated to grace the roster of Pokedex in the Alola Region in their aboriginal forms, Yibada reported.

Despite the confirmation that the eight original Pokemon including Psyduck, Lapras, Arcanine, Dragonite, Zubat, Gyarados, Spearow and Pinsir are already joining the action in the Alola Region, they haven't been officially added to the U.S. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" website. It remains to be seen if the aforesaid Pokemon will make an appearance in the original lineup.

The much-awaited "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is set in the island of Alola, which has a diverse ecology comprising of Pokémon that have lived in the Alola region for ages; along with Pokemon that have just recently arrived in the Alola from various regions. In Alola, humans and Pokemon exist side-by-side in a close relation and a culture has evolved that is quite different from any other region.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is slated to hit the store shelves worldwide on November 18, with the exception of Europe, where the game will release on November 23. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is available exclusively on Nintendo 3DS console.
