Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a battery boost noting that the previous generation is having trouble with the power efficiency.
2K and 4K display models have been the talk as it would bring a major upgrade for the laptop. Other components include USB type C and 16 GB of RAM, The Bit Bag reported. The Kaby Lake processor is said to cause the delay of this device since Intel has just begun shipping this month. The Surface Pro 5 will possibly run Windows 10 Redstone 2.

The Surface Pro 4 is meant for getting the work done and not designed for gaming but if users care to set a low to medium setting and less than 1080 p resolutions - there are actually tons of games to play.
Many sources have speculated that Surface Pro 5 could have the specs for gaming since it will receive major changes in the hardware and software. The rumored of the latest Polaris based graphics card from AMD might equip the device.
Microsoft will likely have two alternatives for the processor - the second one would be the Pascal-based GPU by Nvidia. Since Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have all the latest and powerful components under the hood, this could be the best hybrid laptop for gaming.

Many sources speculate the price for Core i5 version would likely be around $899 whilst the core i7 variant will be around $999.

Judging from the previous release, Surface Pro 4 arrived in October. There has been no sign of any launch soon albeit many rumors circulating through the web speculate the release sometime in October this year.

However, a developer once tweeted what's believed to be the placeholder for a new laptop device and it has 2017 printed on it. It corroborates the speculation that claims the upcoming device released next year.
