Marvel Comic Con 2016 has left sweet surprises for visitors and Marvel fans around the world.

Comic Con 2016 Marvel: Introducing Brie Larson as Captain Marvel

Kevin Feige seems to confirm all the rants on 'the woman that will play Captain Marvel'. In the end of the Marvel Comic Con 2016 panel, the president invited Brie Larson on stage as the new member of the family. The Oscar-winning actress will play Carol Danvers a.k.a Captain Marvel.

A few months ago, Feige did announce the character that has been part in Marvel Universe since 1968. He also clarified a few years ago, that the role will be played by a woman.

With Brie Larson as the female superhero in Marvel family portrait at Comic Con 2016, she becomes the first woman to play a leading role in Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Time noted Larson's previous role in "Room" and "21 Jump Street". Both films have different genre but Larson demonstrated emotional depth in her character. With Marvel's movies striking balance between fun and drama; the 26-year-old actress wouldn't have any trouble playing "Captain Marvel".

Larson shared an Instagram picture of her wearing Marvel's hat and wrote "Call me Captain Marvel." And the fans should expect lady power with great stunts in "Captain Marvel"; given Danver's strong independent character and military background. Probably, more roles and plots will be revealed before the movie premiere in 2019.
