‘Deadpool 2’ News Update: Producer Simon Kinberg Reveals New Sequel Details; 'The Flash,' 'Gambit,' 'X-Men' Updates

The executive producer for the "X-Men" films - Simon Kinberg, recently confirmed the start of production for the highly anticipated sequel film, "Deadpool 2."

People at That Hashtag Show caught up with Kinberg at the 2016 Saturn Awards. The film producer did not only confirmed when the filming for the much awaited sequel "Deadpool 2" would begin, Kinberg also made it known that there is something new coming to the X-Men Cinematic Universe in the future and that they would start the production soon, according to Vine Report.

Kinberg said in a statement that they are shooting the "Wolverine" movie at the moment and they will start shooting "Deadpool 2" at the beginning of 2017. Kinberg also said that he is starting to write a script of the "X-Men" movies real soon.

After the success of the American superhero film - "Deadpool," which stars the Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, American actor Stephen Lang expressed that if he was given an opportunity, Lang would love to portray the role of Cable, based on the report of Yibada.

However, Kinberg also gave a new update regarding the onward movement of the sought after film, "Gambit." The science fiction film will have the "Magic Mike" actor Channing Tatum as the titular lead role. Scriptwriter Reid Carolin is reportedly working on refining the script, and production of the "Gambit" film is slated to start sometime in 2017.

Kinberg stated "that they have a script for the "Gambit" film and they hope to start the production at the beginning of spring of 2017."

In addition, as the Nigerian-American film director Rick Famuyiwa had been hired to helm "The Flash," Ezra Miller is set to star as the titular character. But, no official description has been released on what character Miller might portray, Movies reported.

The "The Flash" movie is slated to kick off the production later this year. The film is scheduled to fire up in theaters on March 2018.
