Google has launched a new set of features to Google Search that would make it much easier for job seekers to find a job. They unveiled the set of new features during their I/O conference on Wednesday.

Google for Jobs is the company's latest initiative to help job seekers refine their search and lead them to jobs that match their skills, education, experience, and geographical location by using machine learning. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the idea to add the said feature stemmed from their realization that the first thing people do when looking for a job is by searching it on Google.

Moreover, Pichai added that they want to solve the skills gap problem by bringing job seekers to companies who are in need of talents to fill the available positions.

Google said they have been working on this solution since last year and the only way to go is use machine learning which led them to develop a cloud jobs API. The solution has so far produced such promising results as companies report that there has been an increase in job applications through Google's API.

They demonstrated the feature during the conference where they made a quick search for a particular position. The search brought up the time it was posted, how far the travel time is, and similar job titles but are using a different terminology. There is even a short description what the job is all about as well as an "Apply" button that will take the job seeker to the company's main web page.

No matter what experience or salary range the person is looking for, the Google for Jobs feature will be a useful tool for them.

The feature will be available to U.S users first and then the rest of the week in the coming weeks.
