GameStop stores across the US have gotten new shipments of the Nintendo Switch due to the launch of "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," but interested buyers of the hybrid console system might not get the chance soon. It was reported that the console is already being sold at the gaming store at a high rate, and it is not showing any signs of slowing down. This is a good sign for Nintendo, but this is a problem for the fans who want to get their hands on one, Forbes reported.

GameStop Surprised By Fast Sales Of Nintendo Switch

GameStop Senior Director of Merchandising Eric Bright revealed that the sales of the Nintendo Switch have exceeded their expectations. Anyone who wants to get their hands on the hybrid console system from the physical store will have to be quick about it. He also revealed that their allocations of it are not in days but in hours.

Bright did not give any specifics on the Nintendo Switch unit sales or what they expect from it. This is no surprise since it was revealed by Nintendo that their hybrid console system is the fastest-selling console in their history, Gamespot reported.

Nintendo Shipped Nintendo Switch Console On Plane

Due to the enormous demand of the Nintendo Switch hybrid console system, Nintendo has made a bold and expensive move in order to keep up with the demand. Instead of relying heavily on sea freight, they have decided to ship the consoles by air. A researcher revealed that air shipments could cost an additional $45, Wall Street Journal reported.

Nintendo revealed that they shipped some of the Nintendo Switch consoles by plane in March to serve their customers more on time. After the March shipment, they have gone back to shipping systems by sea routes.
