It's no secret that those who earned an MBA degree command a higher salary in the market. This is partly true because not everyone with an MBA degree gets the same amount of compensation. There are many factors that affect this but the college where the student went to is one of the main factors. Here are the top five MBA programs in marketing.

Stanford

The U.S. News and World Report ranks the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University as fourth in the list of the Best Business Schools in America. However, it comes first when it comes to the earning power of its graduates. Those who earned their marketing MBA at Stanford commands an annual basic salary of $140,553 with 62.8 percent of its graduates employed upon graduation.

Harvard

Although the Business School at Harvard University comes first in the Best Business Schools ranking, it only comes in second when it comes to the earning power of its graduates. According to U.S. News, MBA grads in marketing from Harvard earn $134,071 annual salary on average with 79.3 percent of its graduates finding employment. Harvard MBA students have the privilege of enrolling in a joint degree programs with the Harvard Medical School, Law School, Dental Medicine, and the Kennedy School of Government.

University of Pennsylvania (Wharton)

The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania ties with Harvard as the number one business school in America. However, it is third based on the salary of its MBA grads in marketing. Those who graduate from Wharton gets an average annual salary of $130,161 with 85.8 percent of the graduates finding employment after grad school.

University of Chicago (Booth)

The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago is the third best business school in the United States. However, it comes fourth when it comes to the ranking of the most high-paying MBA programs in marketing. U.S. News and World Report says that 84.9 percent of Booth graduates find employment after finishing school with an average annual salary of $126,937.

Northwestern (Kellogg)

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University ties with Stanford in fourth place in the list of the Best Business Schools but on fifth place when it comes to the earning power of its graduate students. However, with its graduate students in marketing commanding an average annual salary of $123,998, it is still a good figure. Moreover, 82.8 percent of its grad students find employment after earning their MBA degree.
