Another leak from Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo has unofficially confirmed the successor of Sony Xperia XZ does exist.

One of the images reveals 4 gigs of RAM - which is a bigger bump compared to its predecessor with 3 GB on board. While this seems to be a decent upgrade, the fans are disappointed with the less-attractive design. The leaked pictures of Sony's upcoming Xperia XZ show-off the huge bezels on the top and bottom.

The fans previously believed that Sony would follow the trend of launching thin-bezelled phone or even bezel-less - after such a concept design went viral.

This year, the bezel is one of consumers' concerns when buying a new smartphone. And the fans have hoped that it will materialize in any of Sony Xperia 2017, simply because it has a better-looking design.

On the other hand, a few of them who gave commentary on Phone Arena post, agree with the changes on its side-bezels. It is safe to assume that Sony will not mimic the other premium flagships like iPhone or Pixel where curved edges are spotted. The rather-sharp corners design is a part of Sony's signature - which is likely to come with the next Xperia XZ.

Sony to unveil Xperia XZ 2017 at MWC

Specs-wise, the Xperia XZ is said to be a premium device rocking 4K display. If rumors are to be believed, this will be the second 4K handset from Sony. However, the next-gen Xperia XZ may have to face a head-to-head competition with another 4K beast, Galaxy Note 8.

And the reports on its chipset - Snapdragon 820 or lower - may have to give the limelight to its newer sibling, the 835 series, which will feature in Galaxy S8.

Sony will reportedly launch five phones at MWC 2017 - including the 4K display and Quad HD Xperia handsets, Ray Arena reported.
