For those who have missed the latest update on the dating series, ABC finally solved the lack of diversity issue in "Bachelorette" by casting its first-ever black bachelorette for the upcoming season.

Confirming the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Rachel Lindsay will be the next bachelorette in season 13, Washington Post reported. The 31-year-old Texan was featured in the current "Bachelor" season 21, where Nick Viall takes the center stage.

Beauty and brain

The beauty is an accomplished lawyer, an expert in insurance law who opens attorney practice in Dallas. Host Chris Harrison said of Lindsay that she has the attractive values. Lindsay is incredibly smart and an independent woman.

First impression rose

Vial gave the first impression rose to Lindsay and it's the first in "Bachelor" history to have a black contestant winning the rose. Lindsay made it to the final four.

Fan-favorite cast

"Bachelorette" reportedly has more diverse contestants as previously there were four black men in Kaitlyn Bristowe's dating series.

Even before starting her own season as a bachelorette, Lindsay has earned a lot of great impressions from "Bachelor" fans.

Viewers noted that Rachel's dating style is refreshing and many have tweeted positive feedbacks on the news. Another fan commented on how classy she was and yet, still knew how to have a good time.

"Bachelorette" season 13 premieres on May 22 on ABC.
