The release date of the Xbox Project Scorpio remains shrouded in mystery as Microsoft hasn't made any specific announcements about when the gaming system will be unveiled in full. Nonetheless, Xbox fans are expecting the tech company to officially launch and release the upcoming console during this year's E3 event slated for June.

Although the tech giant knows that game enthusiasts are not so patiently waiting, the company remains unsure about any specific dates. Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked when fans could expect the Xbox Project Scorpio to be fully unveiled and whether the device would be around E3 in June. Spencer stated that he's not sure regarding the Xbox Project Scorpio release date yet, Express reported.

Previously, the Redmond, Washington based tech company announced a holiday 2017 release for Xbox Project Scorpio, but thanks to faster development and rival consoles, there was a talk of an earlier release. The Xbox boss promised that the gaming system will be well worth the wait.

When Spencer was asked how the Xbox Project Scorpio was doing, Spencer stated that the device is doing absolutely great. Spencer added that their first party teams are getting engines up and tuned, great progress across studios and platforms.

Nevertheless, the Xbox Scorpio is being dubbed as the most powerful console ever created, with 6 teraflops of GPU as well as VR and 4k gaming.

On the other hand, reports are claiming that "Halo 6" might be unleashed at the time of the release of Xbox Project Scorpio. The speculations that the upcoming video game will be ready to be unveiled in the time of Project Scorpio's release started when COO Matt McCloskey left 343 Industries to be the vice president of commerce in Twitch.

One of the reasons for McCloskey's exit is that something bad might have happened, or the Halo franchise is now completed. It has been said that the game's executives don't just easily pull out knowing that their game is still in development, according to Tweak Town.
