Colt Paulsen, a student from the University of Nebraska in Omaha is currently majoring in broadcasting. And this lucky student is about to meet one of his idols.

Paulsen, who is a 2014 graduate from Cozad High School, is cast as a fan on the new television show on ABC titled "Big Fan." In the show airing tonight, he is going to show up in an episode with Kim Kardashian and two other fans.

After seeing a Twitter post from Kardashian encouraging people to apply as super fans on the show, he acted right away, as reported by the North Platte Telegraph. Currently, this University of Nebraska student is with the Develop Model Management. He has the experience of multiple photo shoots and has done the cat walk in Omaha Fashion Week. Plus, he is the first ever red carpet correspondent for the event.

Which is why he is no stranger to show business and fashion. His background in modeling and broadcasting, as well as his audition video, is bringing him in front of the camera. In Cozad High School, he made a talk show focusing on celebrity gossip and school. It was called "Hay Haymakers."

After receiving a phone call from California and a few interviews, he is in the show. Back in April 2016 he flew to Los Angeles for a full day of filming. He confesses that he did receive the "star treatment" on the show.

Being a broadcasting major undergraduate, he found the experience behind the scenes fun. And he further says that meeting his celebrity idol is surreal. He dreams of being in front of the camera and moving to Los Angeles and start a career on show business. He already knows what he is going to do after he graduates from the University of Nebraska. He is planning an internship in L.A or even New York. Paulsen hopes that Jimmy Kimmel is going to hire him as an intern. "Big Fan" is airing on ABC, on Jan. 16, 9 p.m., as reported by the Lexington Clipper-Herald.
