Current First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, has recently delivered her final speech last January 6, 2017 at the White House.

Before President-elect Donald Trump takes his seat as the next President of the United States in two weeks, Michelle Obama took the opportunity to thank and remind everyone of the goals everyone has achieved and continue to pursue.

She was standing in a room filled with leaders, educators, celebrities and journalists. Standing by her were the likes of Wale, Ted Allen, La La Anthony, Andy Cohen, Carla Hall, Jim Harbaugh, Jay Pharoah, Kelly Rowland and Usher.

Michelle Obama started with her Reach Higher initiative. She explained how it was a successful program. When they started the initiative, they wanted to make higher education cool, as reported by Complex.

After saying her thanks, she continued her speech by saying she can think of no better message to send to the youth. In her final address, Michelle Obama wanted the young people to know that they matter and that they belong.

She stresses that they should not be afraid. Michelle Obama even injected her own story that she and Barack started out with so little. But they worked hard to get to where they are now. After getting an education, anyone can become the next president of the United States. She tells all to be focused, determined, hopeful and empowered. In her last few statements, she tells the young people that they can do that by getting a good education.

Her final speech was described as passionate and emotional, as reported by The Undefeated. Michelle Obama's address was a message on the power of hope. As she held back tears, it is clear that she wanted everyone to know that education is an important tool and can be a powerful one that can lead a country.

Before she stepped down, Michelle Obama said that being the First Lady has been the greatest honor and she hope that she has made America proud.
