In a recent interview, Capcom producer Tomoaki Ayano has confirmed that Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will be released late this year. However, Ayano did not specify which month the game will be released.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite fans should be excited about the reveals in the months leading up to the release, according to Game Rant. For example, the most exciting announcements will be the new characters especially those that has never appeared in a Marvel vs Capcom game in the past. Those who have never appeared in a past game include Captain Marvel and Mega Man X.

The list for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, according to PVP Live, that has been floating around last Jan. 1 was proven to be a hoax. The list for Marvel include: Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel, Thor, Loki, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Venom, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider, Punisher, Ultron, Thanos, Star-Lord, Rocket, Doctor Strange, Gwenpool, Squirrel Girl, Fing Fang Foom, Wolverine, Magneto, Storm and Doctor Doom.

Capcom's roster include: Ryu, Rashid, Chun-Li, Zangief, Gil, Morrigan, Talbain, Tesssa, Sigma, Mega Man X, Strider, Roll, Jin, Captain Commando, Frank West, June, Batsu, Masamune Date, Rathalos, Phoenix Wright, Simon Blackquill, Gene, Dante, Leon, Ada, Wesker, Nina, Spencer and Edward Falcon.

Unfortunately, the list was proven too good to be true and there are currently no confirmed characters for the game. It would make sense for the release to be later this year allowing Capcom more time to hype the game. The reception for the game has so far been positive so Capcome will most likely revive other franchises if Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite lives up to the hype.
