What to Expect from NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/Ti for Laptops?

NVIDIA has formally introduced their Pascal-based mobile GPUs GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti during the first day of CES 2017 last Tuesday. With the company's desire to provide desktop-level mobile gaming, NVIDIA offers the two mentioned GPUs that will work best with notebooks or laptops that shares the same specifications to their desktop counterpart, according to Digital Trends.

Accordingly, GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti offers the NVIDIA's Battery Boost technology which will give the players longer hours of playing while their 17mm chassis laptops are unplugged. GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti are said to have performance that is thrice better than the previous generation of GPUs.

Aside from the longer battery life, another offering from GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti is the full support for DirectX 12 for Windows 10 that comes with 1080p at 60 frames per second. The two GPUs deliver a cinematic and interactive experience through NVIDIA GameWorks and GeForce Experience for the optimization of specific games as well as keeping drivers up to date.

Furthermore, taking professional screenshots is possible thru an in-game camera provided by NVIDIA Ansel. G-sync support also contributes to having smooth gameplay but only for supported machines as added by Digital Trends.

Manufacturers Supporting NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050/Ti

MSI, HP, Dell, ASUS, Alienware and Acer are among the manufacturers who will utilize the two new Pascal-based GPUs of NVIDIA. In fact, according to PC World, laptops from the said manufacturers have started showing in CES 2017 with price starts at $700. On the other hand, Lenovo also announced their upcoming gaming laptops with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti.
