Intel Kaby Lake Release Date: i7-7700k That Overclocked to 7GHz is an Ultimate Reason Why Everybody Should Dump Skylake [VIDEO]

By

The newest and the most anticipated microarchitecture of Intel's processor is slowly making its appearances through the spotted chips such as the core i7-7700k. It seems like Kaby Lake, despite the minor changes, appears to be more powerful than Skylake most especially when it reportedly overclocked to 7Ghz. What might be the cause of it? See full details here!

Why Intel Kaby Lake is Desirable by Overclockers?

Intel Kaby Lake release date seems to just around the corner since the chips using the microarchitecture started making appearances online and one example of it is the core i7-7700k which has reportedly surprised everyone for its newly discovered capacity. According to PC Mag, although the said chipset features minor changes from Intel Skylake, everyone was surprised when it overclocked to 7GHz using liquid nitrogen.

Accordingly, it was the noted overclocked guru Allen "Splave" Golibersuch who discovered the full capacity of the chips through pushing the Intel core i7-7700k from its limit of 4.2 GHz clock speed until it reaches to 7GHz and still stable using liquid nitrogen as cooling system. For this reason, according to BGR, Intel Kaby Lake is deemed fit for gaming laptops and PC because of its performance that eventually could surpass the overclockers' first love, the 6700k chipsets.

Although pushing Intel core i7-7700k beyond its limits has its drawbacks like PC automatically shuts down, having a processor that overclocked to 7GHz is said to be an ultimate indicator that one need not to have a whole liquid nitrogen company to achieve such clock speed. With Intel Kaby Lake chipset, overclocked guru and tech enthusiasts believe that it's possible to push most chips beyond their limit through decent water cooling.

Intel Kaby Lake Release Date

Through Intel's new microarchitecture Kaby Lake, core i7-7700k is considered to be the fastest i7 processor the world could have mainly because of its quad-core and hyper threaded design. Intel is set to launch the chipset during the CES 2017 in Las Vegas and i7-7700k CPU is said to come in a premium price according to PC Games
