Gamers are only two months away from getting their hands on Nintendo's "Zelda: Breath of the Wild." A release date has been confirmed for the upcoming RPG, and new art was revealed showcasing the game's sunset and Guardian enemies.

The Guardian enemies in "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" come in "a variety of sizes and shapes," according to Nintendo's Facebook post shared on Dec. 31. Another image, which bears a Happy New Year greeting, features the game's lead character Link staring at the stunning sunset. Check out the new art pieces from "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" below.

Other "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" images were released by Nintendo prior to that. Concept art for Link was revealed, along with a heartwarming holiday scene and an image where Link is settling down and starting a fire to keep himself warm and cozy. Another image showed Link gearing up for battle with a Guardian, GameSpot reported.

"Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. There are huge expectations that the game will launch in March alongside the Switch, and that was recently confirmed by a trusty Nintendo watcher. Laura Kate Dale tweeted this week that "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is "100% coming at Switch launch in North America in March."

The March release date of "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is encouraging for fans. Industry watchers like Dale are quick to call other information as a rumor or hearsay, but being 100 percent certain about something is definitely good news.

Nintendo's event on Thursday, Jan. 12 could also release more details about the Switch such as the console's price, official specs and features and games launching in it, Techno Buffalo noted. Switch, previously known as the Nintendo NX, is a hybrid between a traditional console and a handheld.

Additional Wolf Link amiibo figures will help Link as he journeys across Hyrule in "Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Every amiibo figure provides random items that Link can use throughout his adventure.

Also, 8-bit Link gives out rewards in the form of barrels, including meat, plants, fish and even rupees. Link can get a treasure chest carrying a rare item, too.
