LG Electronics officially announced another high-end tablet in addition to its LG G Pad series, the G Pad III 10.1, which should resurrect the dying market over tablets.

The LG G Pad series released numerous models over the years, with LG G Pad X 8.0 tablet being the latest unit. Now, the South Korean company unveiled a bigger and powerful tablet, measuring 10.1-inches.

According to XDA Developers website, the device features a 1080p display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet's dimensions are reportedly 256.2 x 167.9 x 6.7 to 7.9mm, and weighs in 510 grams. The device also comes with a built-in kickstand to view the tablet in a convenient manner, allowing up to 70 degrees of adjustment.

As per its internal chassis, the LG G Pad III 10.1 carries an unnamed octa-core SoC with the CPUs clocked at 1.5 GHz. The device is equipped with 2 GB of RAM with 32GB internal memory storage, expandable with microSD card slot.

In addition, the tablet features two different options of viewing that users can choose, namely the Monitor Mode to Reader Mode or Square.

Additional features in LG's G Pad III are WiFi connectivity, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, 5MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing cam, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and a hefty 6000mAh battery. According to reports, the new G Pad III may also come with a new stylus pen in its release.

The said tablet is pegged at a price tag of 429,000 won ($360 in USD). LG has earlier released a G Pad III 8.0 that is now available from LG and leading retailers.

The LG G Pad III 8.0 features an 8-inch screen with a 1200 x 1920 resolution. Its processor is equipped with a Snapdragon 617 chipset, carrying an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU with Adreno 405 GPU. The tablet also runs in 2GB of RAM, and a 16GB of internal storage. In its optics department, a 5MP rear camera with no front-facing snapper is included. It comes with pre-installed Android 6.0 and a 4.000mAh battery.
