Most fans and avid gamers alike are familiar with success of the Polish video game developer, CD Projekt RED, after it released its acclaimed "The Witcher" trilogy over the past years. As such, these same fans are anticipating the latest game in the works called "Cyberpunk 2077," which is rumored to be released sometime in 2017. Moreover, sources indicated that the Polish government has granted the studio 7 million US dollars for research in the upcoming game.

It was previously reported that after the critical success of "The Witcher 3," an outstanding game that has received numerous awards for its outstanding gameplay and story, CD Projekt RED is now looking to release it's big sci-fi RPG (role-playing game) called "Cyberpunk 2077," University Herald noted.

It was stated therein that fans can expect "Cyberpunk 2077" to be set a little over 50 years after the event that transpired in 2024 on the Cyberpunk timeframe in a place called Night City, which is a fictional city located between San Francisco and Los Angeles City.

In recent news, CD Projek RED's application for a government grant from the Polish GameINN progamme, which aims to research City Creation, Animation Excellence, Cinematic Feel, and Seamless Multiplayer for its video games (that was presumed to be implemented to "Cyberpunk 2077"), was recently granted, VG24/7 reported.

It was stated further that the grant amounted to 7 million US dollars that would see the development of things like City Creation, which was described as a complext technology for creating a huge living city that is playable in real time. Moreover, research on Seamless Multiplayer was elaborated as a complex technology for creating unique multiplayer gameplay features and tools.

That being said, it was suggested by the source that these technology might be implemented in the company's upcoming sci-fi game, "Cyberpunk 2077."

However, it was recently hinted that "Cyberpunk 2077" might be released sometime next year, Gamingbolt has learned. It was said that a Swedish store named Klomplett has recently listed the game for a Sept. 30, 2017 release date with a Feb. 2 beta release, as well.

Despite the uncertainty behind these dates, fans will have to wait and see how "Cyberpunk 2077" will turn out in the near future, especially now that CD Project RED has just received a huge grant from its government.
