The Mobile World Congress 2017 on February in Barcelona will be participated by various mobile manufacturers and vendors, not excluding Microsoft, which will introduce the full version of Windows 10 on mobile running on ARM processors.

The inclusion of Microsoft has long been speculated since the company is no longer into the mobile manufacturing business, but it seems that the software expert is bent on bringing Windows 10 on mobile that may soon hint a Surface phone debut.

Microsoft has conceded to its dismal performance in the smartphone market by discontinuing its line of Lumia mobile phones, which are now approaching the end of their retail lives. Microsoft has declared that it will focus more on what it does best, which is to continue to tweak and offer a much improved Windows 10.

Hence, the mobile industry was caught by surprise when Microsoft indicated that they will be joining the Mobile World Congress 2017. Here is what Microsoft intends to do at the the annual gathering of companies and leaders in the mobile industry.

Creator's Update Impact On Mobile Devices

The Mobile World Congress 2017 coincides with the release of the Creator's Update, which can bring vital changes to mobile devices. The Redstone 2 will enable mobile devices to have Virtual Reality capabilities that will offer a rich and immersive experience to its users.

Windows 10 on Mobile ARM Processors

Microsoft has collaborated with AMD particularly in launching Windows 10 ran by ARM processors, which are typically seen in mobile phones. Microsoft will further discuss during the Mobile World Congress 2017 the benefits of the full version of Windows 10 on mobile in terms of productivity using real desktop apps according to Softpedia.

Form Partnerships to Launch Windows 10 on Mobile Devices

Micorsoft's primary goal in participating in the Mobile World Congress 2017 is to sell the Windows 10 OS to OEMS and ODMs. This is further supported by its initiative in launching a site where partners can arrange meetings with Microsoft regarding future mobile plans and partnerships, according to Neowin.

To recap, Microsoft has not fully turned its back on the mobile phones as of yet as indicated by its Windows 10 on mobile. However, the rumor of a Surface phone with full Windows 10 running on ARM processors is still highly possible, but its debuting at the World Mobile Congress 2017 is already an improbability for the device will not be ready by then.
