Google Nexus 7 (2016) Tablet Features and Specs

It was the popular and reliable leakster Evan Blass who revealed about the existence of Google Nexus 7 tablet that elicits too much excitement from Android fans all over the world. According to The Bit Bag, chances are high for the newest tablet to be rebranded as Google Pixel 7, following the trend set by Google Pixel X and Pixel XL as the successors of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P phones for the purpose of standardization.

Accordingly, Google Nexus 7 is said to be equipped with high-end specs such as 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage capacity and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 mobile processor. Furthermore, Google Nexus 7 is said to become the first device to feature Google's hybrid OS called Andromeda which is a combination of Android and Chrome OS according to Know Your Mobile.

Google-made devices are known for its smooth and quick updates for firmware soon after it's released. For this matter, Google Nexus 7 is expected to have the same scheme when it comes to updates and unlike other products such as Samsung Tab; users need not to check the device compatibility for updates.

Google Nexus 7 Will Be Manufactured by HTC

It can be recalled that Huawei turned down the offer from Google to manufacture the Google Nexus 7 tablet. For this reason, Google is reportedly turning to the Chinese manufacturing firm HTC for the production of the device; in fact, HTC is said to be excited for the new business deal.

Since there are only few days left for December, Google Nexus 7 is likely to be released in 2017. However, there are several Android fans who are still hoping for the new device to hit the store shelves before Christmas.
