Virtual reality is becoming an increasing trend when it comes to entertainment and recreation. But it is also being seen as a tool for multiple uses.

Virtual reality was seen as a medical tool for some aspiring doctors in the surgical field. Medical professionals are able to conduct virtual surgical operations that are still experimental without the risk of human life.

That is just one of the educational uses that many are seeing when it comes to Virtual Reality. Now, a research from China is looking at VR as a tool to increase and improve academic performance.

A research called "The Impact of Virtual Reality on Academic Performance" indicates that VR improves students' test scores and encourages retention of knowledge, cites Venture Beat.

Virtual Reality based learning is not only advanced, it is also appealing to the students. According to the report, even those who are the least responsive in class are able to engage in the learning experience.

The use of Virtual Reality means no student is going to be left behind. The research took into account the performance of students who are using traditional learning methods versus those who used VR. Both groups used the same subject as their source of education. The test results showed that the students who used VR in their learning had higher scores.

Now, they are calling Virtual Reality a secret sauce to education. Teaching kids can become easier for class lecturers and teachers. But the research still needs to be further studied. There are a lot of companies that are looking at VR as the next big thing.

While the Virtual Reality research still needs to be looked into further, it is clear that this can in a way transform the learning experience of students.
