Microsoft VR Headset Specs Requirements

Oculus Rift is considered as a top-tier when it comes to VR device minimum specifications and Microsoft is said to beat that record when they released their VR headset in 2017. According to VR World, Intel and Microsoft are working together to come up with minimum PC and head mounted displays requirements for VR Headset.

Accordingly, the PC specs requirements include USB 3.0 port, 4GB of RAM, DirectX 12 supported graphics card, quad-core CPU like Intel i5 processor or dual-core CPU with hyper-threading like Intel i3 processor. Although there are no indicated requirements for the GPU but speculations suggest that it will be less demanding than the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Microsoft VR Headset Functionalities

Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are  two well-known VR platforms for hardcore VR gamers. On the other hand, Microsoft VR headset is expected to target users from non-gamers to hardcore gamers as well as the so-called "Creators according to PC Advisor.

Another good thing about Microsoft VR headset is it doesn't only cater to PC users, it also aims to expand within the reach of mobile users who love to play using their phones and tablets that runs Windows 10 operating system for mobile. Microsoft VR headset is also fit to those who are looking after entertainment such as movies and videos streaming.

Microsoft and Oculus Partnership for Xbox One Streaming

Xbox One owners are likely to get their early Christmas treat from Microsoft since the Windows-maker is partnering with Oculus to support VR streaming for games. According to Digital Trends, through the Rift app, three VR environments such as Retreat, Citadel and Dome are created to enable players to immerse themselves in the game.
