Japanese gaming giant Nintendo has announced a 'Nintendo Switch Presentation' on January 12, 2017, and Nintendo will likely use the upcoming event to announce the Nintendo Switch price and initial lineup of games.

The Nintendo Switch presentation will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight. Right now, there still no official announcement for the exact release date of the handheld console, but some reports say Nintendo is aiming for the March 2017 launch date.

The Japanese hardware maker believes that it can offer a lesser price for the 'Nintendo Switch' to make more competitive in the gaming market. Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo CEO, has hinted that there are big surprises and changes coming to the console than the recently-released introduction video revealed. Analysts are already predicting a price tag at around $300 per console.

The Nintendo Switch is an upcoming hybrid video game console that featured two detachable controllers on either side. The tablet-shaped console is Nintendo's seventh major home console. The hybrid game console is currently scheduled for release worldwide in March 2017.

The concept of the Nintendo console is to allow users to play games everywhere. The console also allows players to play on TV at home even through a dock. The main console unit of the device is the LCD screen unit with two Joy-Con controllers attached. The attached two Joy-Con controllers mean that device also has the capability to be transformed into a multiplayer console.

In addition, Nintendo announced that it will go to include basic bundle for fans to have the chance to customize and add features to the console.

The company announced earlier that the price and release date for the Nintendo Switch would be confirmed on January 12, 2017. Additional information and some important features will also be announced in the upcoming Nintendo Switch Presentation next year.
