Acer Swift 7 has reportedly been hailed the world's thinnest laptop. The netbook was launched at the IFA earlier this year. The product is slated to hit the stores worldwide beginning Nov. 18.

The device is slated to sell via the company's exclusive stores and selected multi-brand outlets as well as online via Flipkart. The Acer Swift 7 is said to be thinner than other netbooks by roughly 1cm or exactly 9.98mm. The device is said to be under 10mm thick. Moreover, the starting price in India is Rs. 99,999.

Acer Swift 7 is also said to feature a 13.3 inch full HD display with 1080x1920 pixels and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The netbook weighs only 1.1 kg as well. The device will roll out in an all aluminum chassis along with an Intel  seventh generation Core i5 processor.

The Acer Swift 7 will sport 4GB RAM or up to 8GB RAM and an internal storage of 256GB. The Swift 7 also comes with a 2,770mAh battery that is said to last up to nine hours, NDTV reported. The Senior Director and Consumer business head in Acer india Chandrahas Panigrahi reportedly noted that Acer had been focusing on strengthening the Swift 7 all this time.

Meanwhile, the Acer Swift 7 may be starving for power with the recent allegations that it is the world's thinnest laptop. However, the netbook comes with a pricey MSRP of $1,100. However, the device is said to lack a Thunderbolt 3 which the HP Spectre 13.3 inch laptop has, PCWorld reported.

Acer Swift 7 is said to be slender and quiet but it is also said to be bigger and slower than its rivals. Apparently, the thicker HP Spectre 13.3 and the Dell XPS 13 is said to carry more under the hood than the Acer's thinnest device.
