Koei Tecmo has revealed the Japanese release date of the upcoming "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Jaws of Death." They also revealed a limited edition of the visual novel game.

According to the official website of Nintendo, they have just revealed the Japanese release date of "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Jaws of Death," which is on March 30, 2017. This will be launched a few days before the second season of the "Attack of Titan" anime series, which hopefully does not have any delays in the future.

Unlike the previous video game titles of the franchise, "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Jaws of Death" is actually a text-based adventure game, which is being developed by Ruby Party. For those who are wondering what it is all about, they can check out the teaser trailer below. The full trailer for the game will be released on Nov. 30.

Nintendo revealed that WIT Studio, which was the team behind the anime series, will be creating the backgrounds used in "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Jaws of Death." The voice actors will reprise their roles in the video game too. It was also announced that those who will buy the game at launch will be able to get an exclusive Nintendo 3DS, which will feature Eren's voice.

According to the official website of Game City, "Attack on Titan: Escape from the Jaws of Death" will get a limited edition, which will be called the Treasure Box and it will cost $117. It will contain the game, a visual book, a soundtrack CD, two posters, six badges, download code for a 3DS theme featuring Levi and Mikasa, and a download code for another theme feature Elwin, which can be acquired if buyers pre-order before Jan. 22.
