The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships are looking for students who can make an impact in the world today. The NSF offers students grants in order to work on projects that can benefit the country and its economy.

This year, The NSF is motivating students from Arizona State University that cause. One individual, cites ASUNow, is Alyssa Henning. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in biological design at ASU. Her course is in the same line as NSF's vision of maintaining advancement in technology and science.

Alyssa is just one of the many students that the NSF is counting on. The Fellowship grants a three year annual funding of $34,000 plus an additional $12,000 allowance for tuition to those who are pusuing graduate degrees.

The students' career is also set because it opens up opportunities for internships, research projects and the choice to open up their own research as well from their chosen field at any accredited American institution.

Alyssa is already well equipped academically with her degree in bio-engineering with a minor in bio-medical engineering from Cornell University. She also has her master's degree from Penn State University in agricultural engineering. She is now working with ASU to pursue her doctoral degree. To date, she has worked with the multiple experts in her field. Already, she has multiple career paths she can choose from.

Alyssa and the others are hoping to contribute to make an impact in the world. Some of them are joining the Hyperloop competition lead by SpaceX founder Elon Musk.

Getting support from an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship award enables Alyssa to pursue her career goals in both research and her future.

According to one student,the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship is one of the most esteemed things you can get as a graduate student. Getting this fellowship, for the students, means that they can aspire to do more and work more that solves big world problems and help the country, and even the world.
