Samsung Electronics Co. offered an apology to their consumers in a full-page advertisement posted in major newspapers in US on Monday, Nov. 7.

This is in line with the recent exploding of the Galaxy Note 7 devices that led to a global production recall and dismiss of manufacture.

"An important tenet of our mission is to offer best-in-class safety and quality. Recently, we fell short on this promise. For this we are truly sorry," the ad reads.

Shortly after its release in August this year, reports have been spreading that some Galaxy Note 7 devices explode that is likely due to faulty lithium-ion batteries.

Samsung had then issued a full recall of the product within the month until the tech manufacturer finally decided to terminate its production in September.

In spite of the constant warnings for the consumers that the phone is not safe from exploding, not everyone has agreed on returning the device. There are still some who choose to keep their devices instead of turning it over to Samsung.

According to Bloomberg, the tech manufacturer claimed almost 85-percent of their devices have been turned over and replaced for another Samsung device.

The tech giant promised to carefully investigate on the incident. The unfortunate event led to a tremendous recall of around 2.8 million units in the US alone.

Based on the report by The Verge, Samsung also recalled 34 models of its washing machines by which the company’s advertisement have also been recognized.

There are over 700 reports of malfunction recorded so far. Around nine people have reportedly been injured with the device malfunctions according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

It might take a little more than a full-page advertisement, though, for Samsung to bring back the confidence of their customers.
