It's always a pressing matter for fans whenever they hear news of any employee leaving their beloved game's studios. Such is the case for DICE General Manager Patrick Back, who was reported to have left the studio, according to sources. As such, fans are also wary as they speculate as to whether his departure will also affect the sequel to "Star Wars Battlefront."

It was recently reported that DICE General Manager Patrick Bach has issued his statement that he is leaving the studio for good, VentureBeat reported. Bach, who was a pivotal personnel at DICE responsible for the success of "Battlefield 1," expressed that he has had a fulfilling career during his fourteen years with DICE and Electronic Arts (EA).

He further stated that he intends to play "Battlefield 1" for a very long time, and that he is expecting only great things from the talented people at DICE in the coming future, VentureBeat noted.

This news was later on confirmed by Electronic Arts Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund, who praised and thanked Bach for all his achievements and contributions during the entirety of his tenure with the company, VentureBeat mentioned.

It was also noted by VentureBeat that aside from working on "Battlefield 1," Patrick Bach also oversaw the production to the sequel of "Star Wars Battlefront." As such, his departure has left fans speculating on the sequel's fate.

But fans need not worry, it was recently reported that the sequel to "Star Wars Battlefront" is well on its way in 2017, Polygon reported. During an earnings call, Electronic Arts Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen confirmed to analysts that the sequel will be launched next fall.

Aside from a more detailed released date, Jorgensen also reassured fans that they are hard at work in making the sequel to "Star Wars Battlefront" an immersive experience to its players, Polygon learned.

Despite the departure of Patrick Bach, it seems that everything is well for both "Battlefield 1" and the development of the sequel to "Star Wars Battlefront."
