Celebrities use their fame and status to promote change all the time. Which is why in South Africa, the continent's celebrities came together for a round of golf.

In order to support the community and the children that need it most, The Val de Vie Foundation, in partnership with the Pearl Valley Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, is bringing huge names from the country to champion for education.

The Paarl-Franschhoek Valley is the community that is being supported in this fund raising event, cites iAfrica. The foundation was started to campaign for a positive effect to the community, and to the Winelands area. They target education and life skills training for the youth. The foundation focuses on creating a sustainable job path to ensure the valley progresses.

Ultimately, the foundation hopes to bring education to the deprived kids in the area. In addition, Ryk Neethling, the Marketing Diretor, says they will most likely become the leaders of this generation. Proceeds from the various events from the foundation will go to the Khula Development Group.

The KDG explains that growing up in an environment that does not have a supportive home results in kids quitting school. Which is why the KDG creates programs to raise awareness regarding the importance of education.

The KDG is now in partnership with 26 schools in the valley. They create a safe platform where they can get the education they need plus the psychological assistance each individuals require.
This month, South African celebrities like Allan Donald, Maps Maponyane, Herschelle Gibs, Ryk Neethling and more are going for a round of golf. They will play a game of four ball to support the underprivileged kids in the valley. Everyone connected to the event aims to bring hope to the community and restore its greatness by giving local children access to high quality education.
