Apple Inc. has released software updates for the Apple Watch, Mac and iPhone 7, wherein the devices improved their performance. The tech giant upgraded watchOS 3 to watchOS 3.1, which is the first update of the new operating system that was launched more than a month ago.

The watchOS 3.1 is designed to level up the performance and fix bugs. The release notes, even list several bug fixes and improvements. The OS update will improve the battery life across Series 2, Series 1 and first-generation models.

The update can be downloaded via the dedicated Watch app on the iPhone. In doing so, users must go to General -> Software then Update. In installing the update, the Apple Watch is required to have 50 percent battery and must be placed on the charger in range of the iPhone, Mac Rumors reported.

The operating system update includes iPhone 7 Plus Portrait's Photo support feature, which was introduced with iOS 10.1. The OS update also bumps the features designed for the upcoming MacBook Pro models that are slated to roll out later this year.

The update comes along with an automatic smart album in photos for iPhone 7 Plus depth effect images. Also, the Apple's OS update improves the compatibility of Microsoft Office when utilizing iCloud Desktop and Documents, according to Learn Bonds.

On the other hand, the iPhone 7, as well as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6, has one major feature that the Cupertino based tech company is still keeping secret. Reports surfaced that Apple is making its own CPU for the iPhone, a CPU that has no rival in the smartphone industry for the time being. However, the company has also been working on its own mobile GPU customizations.

The tech giant has been gradually moving from licensing PowerVR graphics into making their own. It has been said that Apple's modern GPU has three major components, BGR has learned.
