Touted as Surface competitor, the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S released earlier this year just got a facelift in gold. The Samsung GalaxyTab Pro S Gold Edition just released this October 2016.

The Display

The Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition still retains the 12-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. Like its predecessor, it comes bundled with a full-size detachable keyboard with a touchpad cover via a Pogo pin

Memory, CPU, and GPU

The Galaxy TabPro S Gold edition boasts of double the capacity of the standard edition. It now has 8 GB of RAM and a 256GB Solid State Drive as opposed to 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD of the previous model.

The unit is powered by an Intel Core M3 2.2GHz processor with the System on chip (SoC) has Intel Graphics built-in.

Battery

It packs a non-removable 5200mAh battery that offers 10 and a half hours of continuous video playback. The pack comes with a fast charging technology that can charge the device in 2 and half hours via USB-C.

Cameras

The Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition has the same cameras as that of the standard version. It sports 5MP autofocus cameras in front and the rear of the device.

The Gold Edition's rear camera, however, has a slight modification to its camera software. It is now capable of 4X zoom and can record videos in Full HD.

Connectivity and other features

Four ports are present in the device, it has an HDMI port, a USB-C Type-A for connecting to external storage devices, and a USB-C 3.1 port for charging the device. Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition carries Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and is also equipped with Bluetooth v4.1. The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S and its Gold Edition runs Windows 10 Home Edition. Sensors on the tablet include an Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope same as that of the earlier version.
