It is not everyday a celebrity chef leads a masterclass. Paul Rankin was recently featured as a guest under GCSE Food and Nutrition.

His role is to prepare a dish, provide expert advice and guidance throughout the course of the masterclass. He also provides insider information on what it is really like in the catering industry and what kind of career opportunities await for young people.

As part of the school's commitment to promote healthy eating and nutrition, the students and staff at St. Gregory's School in Bath were treated to a culinary demonstration, according to Bath Echo. His featured dish is his signature Chargrilled and Peppered Chilli Chicken. This is a unique opportunity for students to acquire life skills as they progress through higher education and beyond.

According to Julie Linzell, the Account Manager of Sodexo, Rankin has been working with them for more than 15 years and they organize events such as these to provide high quality information and advice to students and school staff. "Not to mention creating professional development opportunities for our own staff and catering teams," she adds.

Rankin's role is not just to share his expertise. His role in this event is also to highlight the importance of school when it comes to education children about eating healthy and cooking healthy.

"Paul Rankin has been working with us for more than 15 years, supporting our work in schools, and we are so pleased that he will be working with the team at St Gregory's to highlight the important role that schools play in educating children about healthy eating and cooking. Paul Rankin himself was excited to lead the GCSE Masterclasses. "For me, it's about trying to communicate the importance of good, natural food and cooking," he says.

They were also given the opportunity to recreate his dish. Were they successful? According to Rankin, the students were brilliant.
