Just when MBA students thought that academic life is all about studies and endless note-takings, the Hans India site published its top 5 films MBA students should watch. Academics couldn't agree more to the substance of the film's themes and how their analogies could guide students with trade secrets in surviving the academic life.

Life isn't all about the book. Sometimes the best sources for learning are out-of-the-classroom engagements. That would also include buying a ticket for a movie or simply noting a viewing schedule at Netflix.

For students' ease, the Hans India site published its list of top 5 films that impart values in proximity to Business Administration terms. These lessons are especially smooth for the already-stressed out master students.

Meanwhile, students and academics at Princeton University prefer MBA programs that are more diverse and that the atmosphere is more collaborative than competitive, Southeast Missouri reported.

The new-age thinking in the Business Administration format is obviously getting out of the book. Academics couldn't agree more to the underlying inspiration films could offer to master students.

Here are the top 5 films for MBA students:

1. Stand and Deliver (1988)

The film is loosely based on the true story of a Mathematics teacher, Jaime Escalante at James A. Garfield High School. Faced with the dilemma of below-average students in the school, Escalante sought to change the old school system and deliver what is best for the students.

2. Cast Away (2000)

Graced by the skillful and highly emotional portrayal of Tom Hanks to the character of Chuck Noland, the film traverses through the audience's trenches of emotions in order to portray all the beautiful tortures in life necessary for a person to revisit his existence.

3. Terminal (2006)

The film is a wonderful movie that shows us that in times of adversity we need to clutch at straws and learn to weave unbreakable ropes from the straws and use them to climb our way out of troubled time, the Hans India stated.

4. The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)

The film is a biographical (bio pic) drama film based on entrepreneur Chris Gardner's struggle at being homeless. The film states that sales is a scared function as it is the only function that brings in money and all other functions are involved either in spending that money or supporting the marketing function, the Hans India again stated.

5. Exam (2009)

The film is produced by a British film company. It is a psychological thriller that explores the dangers of learning with no philosophical foundation. Eight candidates are placed inside a secluded room left with only one exam question to answer. However, just as when they thought the question was easy, things took a dark turn.
