Letting go of your 2015 MacBook Pro may be difficult but you might want to take some time to consider upgrading to the 2016 version of Apple's portable machine. MacBook Pro 2016 is believed to feature a major overhaul and going into details will help you decide whether it's worth every penny on your pocket.

MacBook Pro 2016 Anticipated Features

The last major overhaul of MacBook Pro was in 2012 when it received a boosts in processor and graphics. For this reason, major upgrades are expected for the 2016 version of Apple's portable machine, ZDNET reported.

MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to get rid of MagSafe Port 2, SD Card slot and USB 3 ports to give way to USB-C ports. The physical functions keys are also expected to be replaced by "Dynamic Function Rows" embedded in an OLED touch panel located just above the keyboard.

Another feature of MacBook Pro 2016 that will stand above from its predecessor is the Touch ID sensor. Through this new function user are allowed to enter the system without having to input any password as well as accessing apps such as Apple Pay without identity verification.  

Furthermore, in contradict to the previous leak that says MacBook Pro 2016 has no audio jack; the same report claimed that the new mac is likely to retain the old technology. Aside from that, battery improvement is also included in the major upgrade.

Is the New Mac Worth the Price?

MacBook Pro 2016 predecessors have prices ranging from $1,300 to $2,100 for the 13-inch and 15-inch retina display models as quoted by Apple website. However, for the upcoming version, no confirmed prices have been announced from Apple yet. But with the current added features on the new mac, it is expected for Apple to add an amount higher than the previous ones.
