DC Comics and Warner Bros. will be releasing the extended version of the hit movie, "Suicide Squad," on Digital HD and Blu-Ray DVD.

Warner Bros. hopes the soon-to-be-released extended version of "Suicide Squad" will be well-received by fans. Just like "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," the kind of disappointment and frustration that the film received has been very much apparent, especially on the kind of remarks that critics have been writing about the it. However, in terms of sales in Blu-Ray and the span of time it remained on the retail store, reception of audience is quite better. And now, the company hopes to have the same kind of reception over "Suicide Squad."

Movie producer giant Warner Bros. has continuously released short sneak peeks about the extended cut starting on Wednesday, which showcases a quick snippet of a particular scene in which Joker and Harley Quinn stands in front of a car that could be inferred as a belonging of Clown Prince of Crime, The Wrap reported.

It can be remembered that "Suicide Squad" belonged to the Top 50 highest grossing films of all time in an American setting, which had a total of $732 million sales worldwide; however, the reception of critics with the film is as worse as "Batman v Superman," scoring 26 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 40 percent on Metacritic. The soul of criticism could be sourced from the rambling editing of the film, Jared Leto's portrayal of Joker as well as the film's lack of focus on its supporting cast, IGN has learned.

Leto revealed something on an interview done in BBC Radio, which relates to the amount of deleted scenes, in producing the final movie. Since some of his scenes were deleted, the actor said that he felt they could be integrated to create a standalone Joker film.

The extended cut of "Batman v Superman" was given a rating adjustment of PG-13 to R. As of the moment, Warner Bros. hasn't posted the same rating for the home release of "Suicide Squad."

"Suicide Squad" is set to hit Digital HD on Nov. 5 and on Blu-Ray, Dec. 13.
