As the Brangelina divorced news spread online, it seems it was able to break the internet as many users around the world were shocked after learning the news. What went wrong to the love story of one of the highest profile marriages?

Court documents revealed that the celebrity pair separated on Sept. 15, 2016. The estrange couple with their kids, twins, Knox and Vivienne, were last seen in West Hollywood for a birthday breakfast.

Angelina Jolie filed a divorced from Brad Pitt on Monday, Sept. 19, TMZ learned. In a court document, it said the cause of separation is irreconcilable differences.

In the same court documents, "Tomb Raider" star is asking for physical custody for their six children. She also asked the judge to give Brad Pitt visitation. She only wants joint legal custody for Pitt, not joint physical custody.

The publication's source (who is connected to the couple) revealed Jolie decided to file a divorce is because of Pitt's way of parenting, and she disagree with it.

According to Jolie's attorney, Robert Offer, the actress made this decision for the "health of the family."

The publication obtained a photo of the estrange couple with their kids, where they were last seen, in West Hollywood for a breakfast.

Since last year, the estranged couple has had troubles with their relationships. They haven't slept in the same bed, and, aside from the "Fight Club" actor's parenting issue, another report suggests that the 52-year-old actor has a weed and alcohol addiction. He also "anger problem."

Although the court documents did not mention if there is a third party involved, some rumors suggest that Marion Cotillard was the reason of Bradgelina's divorce. The French actress was "devastated" as her name was dragged into Bradgelinas split, according to Daily Mail.

In 2003, the 41-year-old actress and the "World War Z" actor first met on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." That time, Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston, while the "Salt" actress had just filed  divorce from Billy Bob Thornton in July 2002.

Two years later, 2005, Pitt and Aniston announce their separation to People Magazine. In the same year, Aniston filed divorce.

On April 29, 2005, some photographers captured photos of Pitt and Jolie on vacation with her adopted son Maddox. They also confirmed they are a couple.

July 2005, Jolie adopted 6-month-old Zahara from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In October 2005, Pitt and Aniston divorce was finalized.

In Jan. 2005,  Jolie was photographed with a baby bump and confirmed she is pregnant with her and Pitt's first child. On May 27, 2006, she gave birth to Shiloh.

October 2006, "Troy" actor told Esquire,  "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."

On July 13, 2008,  Jolie gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne in Nice, France.

In November 2008, the actress said marriage is not a priority yet. In December 2008, the actor confirmed he fell in love with Jolie on the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" set.

In August 2014, Pitt and Jolie got married in France.
